Through the Eyes of a Liberal

(The first 100 days)
In the world a liberal envisions there is no pollution, no one smokes, there are no homeless, no one goes hungry, everyone watches out and takes care of everyone else, if you are nice to another they will be nice to you, everyone works to support not only themselves but their fellow man.
But guess what, that is not the world we live in nor will it ever be.

The President recently went on the "apology tour" of Europe where he explained that all the bad things the U.S. has done is now in the past. He apologized for the arrogance we have shown as the only superpower of the world and showed all the other leaders respect. He even went so far as to bow to the Saudi Prince. (Although the White House denies this...You be the judge) What did all this groveling get him? Nothing. Military support of the war in the Middle East has dwindled and we are about to double our efforts in Afghanistan and it would be nice for other nations to join the effort but no one else offered any support.
Let's see how this new contrite nation has fared in the world against nuclear proliferation. S. Korea launched a long range ballistic missile across the ocean with no response from the U.S. We allowed the U.N. to take action and now Kim Long-Il has decided to restart their nuclear program. Iran, who has vowed to eliminate Israel, is on the verge of nuclear weapons. We have turned to a softer approach and have attempted to open talks with this rogue nation. How has that worked? They have now announced they have 7,000 centrifuges to make nuclear weapons and Israel has said if Iran's tough talk doesn't soften they will have no option but to attack. What about our ally, the nuclear armed Pakistan. They recently granted power to the Taliban and is on the verge of collapse which will put their nuclear weapons in the hands of the terrorists. What is the President's response to all these problems? Unilateral disarmament. If we show them love, they will show us love.... With all this activity around the world do you know who the Department of Homeland Security announced who they will be watching, right wing radical groups
Global warming is still an issue with many politicians yet with the price of oil retreating to reasonable levels with the tough economy, little is being accomplished on that front. What is a "green" President to do? Why not use the influence gained by the bailout crisis to change the direction of the country. By ousting the CEO of GM they can accomplish through the supply side of the industry what they could not change in the demand. By controlling the banks they can control the money and actually control which companies succeed and which ones fail. This not only allows the administration to repay campaign debts but also allows them to engineer social changes. When one bank wanted to get out from under the government's control and tried to return the money, they were told they were not allowed. Why would that be?
Future attractions: Cap and Trade which will make the U.S. less competitive around the world.
Not only is the use (or abuse) of taxation allowing the government to redistribute the wealth and decide how much money people should be allowed to earn, it is also being used to change unwanted behavior. Recent changes in the tax codes have caused the price of cigarettes to skyrocket. I am not a smoker and wish less people did smoke but I respect their right to do so. In this case he is trying to bring about social change by changing the demand but the biggest problem is that this tax is a very regressive tax. It hits the poor a lot harder than it hits the wealthy and the President is suppose to be about protecting the little guy.
Before the liberals can transition the country to their utopia they must first secure their their control for the future. How do you accomplish this? First, you increase the number of people dependent upon the government's liberal policies. Provide more entitlements that more people will depend upon so will will keep the party in charge who makes these counter-productive promises. Spend the next generations future to give the electorate things is a great way to create favorable ratings. How else? Reward the people who worked so hard to get you there. ACORN has been charged with voter fraud in 15 states so how does the government show their disdain for the illegal activity? Reward them with $4 billion in stimulus money. Finally, gain the favor of fastest growing demographic in the country and create an immigration bill to allow these people to become Americans. This has not been accomplished yet but watch out!
One note of success for the President: By not getting in the way and allowing the Navy Seals to take out the Somali pirates. Not that it is such a great accomplishment on his part, more the Navy, but he didn't get in the way and try to hug them or something. Now let's see how he deals with the escalated piracy in the region.
Here is how see liberals. In a word arrogant! They feel they know better what is good for the American people better than the individuals or families themselves. Rather than stimulating the economy by allowing people to keep their money and spend it as they feel best. They think its better to take the money and stimulate the parts of the economy they feel needs stimulating (or what gives them more political gain.) How else do you describe a congress that degrades and humiliates auto
executives for running their companies badly when they themselves have never balanced a budget during their tenure and load their budgets with more waste than any company. Degrade them for flying to Washington while the Speaker Nancy Pelosi flies military aircraft on a whim for her own pleasure. How else do you describe a leading liberal who goes around preaching conservation to save the planet while leaving one of the largest carbon footprint of any human being. Yes, I believe "arrogant" is the right word! There has to be a reason they chose a jackass as their symbol.
